Just A Taste

"He Can Get It"

Jacinta sat at the kitchen table, still holding her cutting knife. She reached up to wipe sweat from her brow, and in the process she smeared blood across her forehead. Jacinta cursed looked at the meat in front of her, preping this much food was always a daunting task. But one well worth it. She put the knife down and leaned back in her chair. She smiled thinking about the night before.
I had donned my new red hot leather mini dress with matching red leather stilettos. And with my cafe con leche toned skin, shoulder length curly black hair and dark brown bedroom eyes, I knew I was looking good. Shit, if I was someone else other than myself, be it male or female, I'd do me. I had headed out to the 305's newest hot spot La Boulevard Cafe. Once I got there, I scooped the place out, looking for some hotties. Oh there was plenty there. I walked over to the bar and ordered myself a long island ice tea. I walked around the place with my drink , when I was done getting my fill, I sat my cup down and ordered me a sex on the beach. They had started playing reggae and reggaeton  my favorite so I made my way to the dance floor, drink in hand. I'm dancing, winding  to the beat. A sexy as hell Dominican walked over to me asking to dance; I turned him down, not the flavor I was looking for tonight. I keep right on moving to the beat. I feel hands on my waist behind me, so I step back so my body is flush with his. I look over my shoulder to see who this bold new playa was. Bingo!! He was a cute, young, maybe 19 years old, white kid. 10 years my junior, but oh, could he get it. So I'm showing out, windin, grinding against him, using all mIy best moves. And I could tell he was feeling me, cause I could definitely feel him. The club switched up to hip hop playing  the new Jay-Z song. I tell the kid I'll be right back and head to the rest room. Stumbling all over the place. When I met back up with him, he asked what I had been drinking, I looked at him and smiled, told him, I was having sex on the beach. He grinned and said he would get me another. I shook my head, he asked, "What's good ma?" I pulled his head down to my level so I could talk in his ear. I told him I rather take you back to my place so I can fuck you. He looked at me with surprise all over his face. All he could say was, "Oh word?" I grabbed his hand and started for the exit. I handed him my keys and said you drive. We got in the car and started out. He asked my name, I looked at him and asked did it really matter? He said nothing. I suddenly had a wicked good ideal. I wait for a red light, I place a mint between my breast, and turn to him, I guide his face to it and tell him eat the mint. He does and ask me what flavor was it, I tell him it's my own mix. He starts back driving, and I started unbuttoning his shirt, running my hands up and down his chest. I took off my seat belt and fully turned towards him. I started kissing him on his neck and chest, I sucked on his nipple that was closest to me. I go for his pants and he tries to lightly push me away. He tells me, "Hey what you doing? Slow down we'll have plenty of time once we get to your crib. I sit back in my seat and buckle back up. We ride the rest of the way in silence, except for the occasional direction here or there. When we pull up to my house I have him park in the garage. I stumble out the car and into the house. I told him to follow me into my office and giggle. He follows me into my bedroom, I tell him, Make yourself at home. I go into the bathroom and freshen up, when I come out, all I have on is my red leather stilettos. And as I had hoped he had gotten undressed and was waiting for me on my bed.

Day Dreaming chapter 2

2/Day Dream

Rane sat in her car with her head up against the steering wheel. "Stupid" she mumbled to herself. I just made a complete fool of myself. 1st by zoning  out and second by trying to flirt with Emery.  A giggle escaped from her throat. Well heck, I did ask him out and give him my number. Even if he was just pulling my leg, I stepped up today! Rane was grinning from ear to ear. Suddenly her grin faltered and she smacked herself across the forehead.  "I insulted him! He'll never call me after insulting him the way I did. And look at me, acting all high and mighty. He probably think I'm some stuck up hoochie. Only hoochies ask men out right?" While Rane was arguing with herself Emery exited the Library, unbeknownst to Rane, he saw her and headed in her direction. There was a tapping against the window, it startled Rane and she jumped. She looked out the window. She swallowed. Gulp. Oh Lord. Here it goes. He's going to let me have it.  Rane rolled her window down. "Um, yes?" Emery pulled out his phone and dialed. Rane's phone rang. "Excuse me. Hello?" I said into the phone. There was no answer. I closed the phone and placed it on the seat next to me. I dated a glance at Emery, and you know that jerk was laughing at me? He was silently laughing, oh but he was laughing. Probably thinking to himself that no man in his right mind would call me. I glared at him and he shook his phone at me. Ok. Now I'm confused. Emery stopped laughing and he's said, " Stop glaring at me. My bad. I thought you had a sense of humor ma. Just lock my number in ok?" I turned and looked at my phone, and it was like a light went off in my head. Oh. He called my phone. I started grinning like the Cheshire cat. I forgot he was even standing there and I started doing the cabbage patch. Emery's full out laughing brought me back to earth. In fact he was laughing so hard I could barely understand him. "Whoa now. You got some moves there huh ma? I think we should go dancing instead of out to eat." He had another fit of laughing. I started my car up. I have never been so humiliated in my life. He called me. And I messed it up by acting like some 12 year old ninny. I shoved my car into gear. And took off, leaving Emery where he was. I glanced in my rear view mirror. All traces of humor were wiped off his face and he truly looked puzzled. Oh boy. Now he looks pissed. My phone rang. I glanced at it. I don't talk and drive, so I kept going. 20 mins later I reached home. After stopping and grabbing me some Steak 'N' Shake. She pulled her chocolate chip pancakes out the bag, followed by her 5 way chili. Oh I am sooo about to grub. Just as Rane was about to dig in her phone rang again. Rane's eyebrow went up, thinking about the missed call from earlier. Oh it can wait. She sat there and eat while she watched Chicago the musical. I sat and watched half before the two missed calls even crossed my mind again. What can I say, I'm just not accustomed to getting phone calls. I got up off my couch and threw my trash in the garbage can and went in search for my purse with my phone in it. I found it deposited right by the door. I dug my phone out and went to the missed calls. The last two calls were the same number.  Hmm. I wonder who this could be, I thought as I hit the send button. The phone rang 2 and a half times and someone answered. "Hello? Hi someone called me fro......." I was cut off mid sentence. "Where the hell do you get off driving off the way you did? And then I've called you twice and you don't answer? What do you have to say for yourself?" I was dumbfounded. "Uh, sorry?" "Sorry!?" Emery screamed at me. I could practically feel the spital flying out his mouth. I cringed at the visual, and a little giggle escaped as I also visualized a vein popped in his forehead. "Oh you think this is funny?" "Look I said I'm sorry. What mor...." but Emery wasn't done with me yet. "So sorry is just suppose to pacify me and say, ok, I ain't mad no more? Girl you got me bent. You so used to having men do what you want, so used  to wrapping men around your little finger?" I was so shocked that he thought I could wrap guys around my finger. The silence was deafening after all his yelling. "I um. Well. It's actually the opposite Emery. I'm not use to get phone calls unless it's a wrong number or work." I'm really sorry I didn't answer the phone. I didn't even think you would call me after I insulted you at the library. And then you show up at my car and you start laughing at me. I didn't know what to do I was humiliated. I humiliated myself I just fled......"

Chapter 2 Yang

Shanahan Sebastian Wong, nice to meet your acquaintance mate. I know you probably have this look of perplexion on your face there. I sound Australian; have an Irish first name and a Chinese last name. Well me mum is Chinese and French; and my da is an Australian Irishman. Truth be told I don’t really have an Australian accent, I am a man of few words, and when I do talk I like to keep people on their toes. But I admit some days the accents come quite natural. I sometimes slip into a French accent. But I feel obliged to share some things with you. One, the reason I like to keep people on their toes is because I don’t want them getting to close. I guess you can say I’m a little anti-sociable. Two, I’m not exactly a normal person when I’m not putting on airs.

I started carrying on full sentence conversations by the age of 1, but with myself, so it would seem. I was talking like a well educated bloke by the age of 5 and I graduated college by the age of 17. And that brings us to now, I’m 21 years old. I’m a weird looking fellow to boot as well. I have a sprinkling of freckles across my nose, high cheek bones, dark, beautiful jade colored eyes, they’re slightly slanted, courtesy of me mum. Dark brown hair with dark reddish orange through out, highlights, all natural of course. I work out slightly, or stay fit. I run, swim, and climb trees. So I’m pretty toned all the way around, and I could easily pass for a 16 year old any day of the week. Cricky! I’m gorgeous.

But any who. This where it gets interesting, for you. I have a hearing impairment, which is the main reason I talked to myself as a young bloke and the reason I excelled at school. Now most impairments hold you back, this one is slightly different. It’s not that I don’t hear well, it’s that I hear too well. I hear dead people, or people that never lived, angels and such, I guess. No really, I’m serious. I love that movie, Sixith Sense; thank God I don’t see them as well. Actually, while I’m hearing them I can’t see a friggin’ thing. I go temporarily blind, my eyes get a cloudy film over them and everything. But ever since I was a young lad one such voice, spirit, or person been with me, his name is Jahnu, he’s been there to guide me and has never led me wrong. But he has always told me that I need to find the people with the same name as me. And I have always rolled my eyes, sighed and didn’t take him serious in response. Well that all changed after meeting Vi’Syon.

I first saw her at orientation at school, she had this dazed out look on her face, and I was thinking, “Oh great, another stoner, but she’s so cute”. Well some chic was talking ten miles an hour to her and she didn’t bat an eyelash. When orientation was over, the girl tried to get her up, Vi’Syon didn’t respond, so the girl started waving her hands in her face. Still no response, so naturally she walked out muttering, “Freak” under her breath, I sat there watching Vi'Syon, she sat there looking more comatose than stoned for about ten more minutes. When she came through it was so subtle you might not have noticed, but I did because I was watching so intently. She looked around the room, saw me and bolted out the door. I followed her. She sat down at one of the many benches that crowded the campus. I stood behind a tree, just watching her. She’s so friggin’ beautiful, short, but beautiful. She’s about 5’0, shoulder length wavy jet black hair, pale, icy blue eyes, I’ve never seen eyes like that before. But they’re big, with really long lashes; she has kind of high cheek bones, small nose, and small mouth but with semi-full lips, and chocolate colored skin tone. Small breast; she’s a thick lass, but that doesn’t mean fat, she just thick through the thighs, hips, calves, waist. She’s no light weight, she just got meat on her, not sloppy looking. Hey! I’m a guy; of course I notice these kinds of things. But any who, she looked up and our eyes connected, I stepped fully from behind the tree; I tipped my hat to her with a slight bow and left. Mind you, I don’t have a hat on, just one of my little quirks.

As soon as I was a good enough distance from her Jahnu knocks. I surrender to the blindness to get the new info he has for me. But instead I as him, “What’s her name?” He tells me in his usual accent less voice, “Vi’Syon NaRae Sage”. I start to laugh, “Riiight, what parents would name their child that?” I chuckle again to myself, then it hits me, “Oh. Well I be.”

From then on out she was like an obsession I couldn’t shake. I’d been following her around for about a week; she was in the library, and I couldn’t stand being away from her any longer. I walked up to her and sat down across from her. I was very close, maybe a foot away, and she never looked up, she was lost in her thoughts. I was there maybe 30 seconds when her head shot up. She started to speak, “Um, can I …” I cut her off by some urgency I couldn’t explain. “Hello Yin.” I said, I knew her name by this point, I was just struck with the absolute certainty that she was my Yin. She told me I must be mistaken. And what did I do mate? I just sat there and grinned like a friggin’ idiot and stuck my hands in my jeans. Like the cat got me friggin’ tongue. She jumps up grabbing her books, looks at me and walks off. I noticed she left her notebook on the table. I grab it and take off after her. When I reached her I hear her mumbling something about “jerk”. I tap her on the shoulder, she stopped kind of abruptly, turned and looked at me. And of course I’m friggin’ grinning like a fool again. She says, “What!” real short like, so I hand her notebook to her. She seemed kind of embarrassed and said thank you really low, kind of under her breath. I tipped my hat, gave a slight bow and said,” Your more than welcome Ms. Sage.” She asked how did I know her name. I simply walked past her.

Chapter 1 Yin

My mother must have had quite a sense of humor when she had me. My father tells me she waited until her last hour in the hospital to name me. Well I know there's nothing funny or weird about that in itself, but wait until you hear what she actually named me, my full name.

But regardless I guess it's for the best, my given name. For those who bother to get to know me, it serves as a fore warning, that I myself am not a basket full of normality's. And for those who stick around, well they know I live up to my name, always. Rather I want to or not.

My mom is African American, or black, whatever; and Sioux Indian, part of the Lakota Tribe. Well my mom's family, the Indian influence, said my name is a blessing. My superstitious black side said she cursed me and should never have mothered a child from a voodoo priest. Boy, family reunions are fun. And by the way my dad isn't voodoo anything, he is part Dominican and part Haitian, and it's a common misconception that Haitians practice voodoo. But anyways. My opinion of my name is that my mom knew exactly what my future held and named me appropriately. Mind you that doesn't mean I like it, but I do admit it's different. I don't see it as being a blessing or a curse, although at times it can feel like both.

Let me properly introduce myself, my name is Vi'Syon NaRae Sage. Pronounced Vision Na-ray. If you roughly translate it, it mean, "Old wise one who sees visions." Yes, I suppose even I sound cynical. But unfortunately it's all true. I often see visions in my dreams, and my Lakota family said I will soon be able to walk in dreams. I sometimes zone out and see visions, but regardless if it's in a dream or I'm wide awake I can't hear when I'm in one. Very interesting and complicated stuff. But here is my story.

Vi'Syon sat up straight, stretched and gave a casual look around the school library. "Gosh this is gonna be a hard story to write, why did Dr. Levy have to decide to issue a last minute "get to know thyself" essay. Uggh!!" She so hated school right now. Besides, Dr. Levy would take one look at the essay and trash it as being fiction. Why couldn't she have a normal life at times? She couldn't dare tell him her dad wanted her to look into become the first Mambos of the family. No one would understand that Voodoo is not an actual religion, that it is actually Vodoun and has a lot of similar beliefs as Christianity. Vi'Syon suddenly felt like she was being watched. She glanced up, and "Whoa! When did he get there?" she wondered. It was the same tall, slightly good looking, ok, very good looking guy, that she has caught looking, staring, maybe even ogling her for the past week. Only difference is that he was no longer behind a tree or across the room, he was like a foot away from her. "Umm, can I ..." Vi'Syon started when he cut her off." Hello Yin." Gosh but he sounded great. "Excuse me? You must have me mistaken with someone else." He just grinned at her and stuck his hands in the pockets of his very beat up, very faded jeans. Vi'Syon grabbed her books and got up from where she had been sitting, she looked at him one more time and turned and walked off. "He probably thought that was a good pick up line. Jerk." She felt a tap on her shoulder, she stopped abruptly and turned, there he was, rebel without a care, grinning at her. "Yes?" He handed her a notebook she had left on the table. "Thank you." She replied as she looked at her books stupidly. She turned to walk away and the guy said" You're more than welcome Ms. Sage."  Vi'Syon gawked at him, "How do you know my name?" He just tipped an imaginary hat to her, grinned and walked past her. "Ok." she thought. A bell started going off in the background. "Oh no! I'm gonna be late for Dr. Levy's class." She stuffed the books in her tote and took off running to class.
