Day Dreaming chapter 2

2/Day Dream

Rane sat in her car with her head up against the steering wheel. "Stupid" she mumbled to herself. I just made a complete fool of myself. 1st by zoning  out and second by trying to flirt with Emery.  A giggle escaped from her throat. Well heck, I did ask him out and give him my number. Even if he was just pulling my leg, I stepped up today! Rane was grinning from ear to ear. Suddenly her grin faltered and she smacked herself across the forehead.  "I insulted him! He'll never call me after insulting him the way I did. And look at me, acting all high and mighty. He probably think I'm some stuck up hoochie. Only hoochies ask men out right?" While Rane was arguing with herself Emery exited the Library, unbeknownst to Rane, he saw her and headed in her direction. There was a tapping against the window, it startled Rane and she jumped. She looked out the window. She swallowed. Gulp. Oh Lord. Here it goes. He's going to let me have it.  Rane rolled her window down. "Um, yes?" Emery pulled out his phone and dialed. Rane's phone rang. "Excuse me. Hello?" I said into the phone. There was no answer. I closed the phone and placed it on the seat next to me. I dated a glance at Emery, and you know that jerk was laughing at me? He was silently laughing, oh but he was laughing. Probably thinking to himself that no man in his right mind would call me. I glared at him and he shook his phone at me. Ok. Now I'm confused. Emery stopped laughing and he's said, " Stop glaring at me. My bad. I thought you had a sense of humor ma. Just lock my number in ok?" I turned and looked at my phone, and it was like a light went off in my head. Oh. He called my phone. I started grinning like the Cheshire cat. I forgot he was even standing there and I started doing the cabbage patch. Emery's full out laughing brought me back to earth. In fact he was laughing so hard I could barely understand him. "Whoa now. You got some moves there huh ma? I think we should go dancing instead of out to eat." He had another fit of laughing. I started my car up. I have never been so humiliated in my life. He called me. And I messed it up by acting like some 12 year old ninny. I shoved my car into gear. And took off, leaving Emery where he was. I glanced in my rear view mirror. All traces of humor were wiped off his face and he truly looked puzzled. Oh boy. Now he looks pissed. My phone rang. I glanced at it. I don't talk and drive, so I kept going. 20 mins later I reached home. After stopping and grabbing me some Steak 'N' Shake. She pulled her chocolate chip pancakes out the bag, followed by her 5 way chili. Oh I am sooo about to grub. Just as Rane was about to dig in her phone rang again. Rane's eyebrow went up, thinking about the missed call from earlier. Oh it can wait. She sat there and eat while she watched Chicago the musical. I sat and watched half before the two missed calls even crossed my mind again. What can I say, I'm just not accustomed to getting phone calls. I got up off my couch and threw my trash in the garbage can and went in search for my purse with my phone in it. I found it deposited right by the door. I dug my phone out and went to the missed calls. The last two calls were the same number.  Hmm. I wonder who this could be, I thought as I hit the send button. The phone rang 2 and a half times and someone answered. "Hello? Hi someone called me fro......." I was cut off mid sentence. "Where the hell do you get off driving off the way you did? And then I've called you twice and you don't answer? What do you have to say for yourself?" I was dumbfounded. "Uh, sorry?" "Sorry!?" Emery screamed at me. I could practically feel the spital flying out his mouth. I cringed at the visual, and a little giggle escaped as I also visualized a vein popped in his forehead. "Oh you think this is funny?" "Look I said I'm sorry. What mor...." but Emery wasn't done with me yet. "So sorry is just suppose to pacify me and say, ok, I ain't mad no more? Girl you got me bent. You so used to having men do what you want, so used  to wrapping men around your little finger?" I was so shocked that he thought I could wrap guys around my finger. The silence was deafening after all his yelling. "I um. Well. It's actually the opposite Emery. I'm not use to get phone calls unless it's a wrong number or work." I'm really sorry I didn't answer the phone. I didn't even think you would call me after I insulted you at the library. And then you show up at my car and you start laughing at me. I didn't know what to do I was humiliated. I humiliated myself I just fled......"

Chapter 2 Yang

Shanahan Sebastian Wong, nice to meet your acquaintance mate. I know you probably have this look of perplexion on your face there. I sound Australian; have an Irish first name and a Chinese last name. Well me mum is Chinese and French; and my da is an Australian Irishman. Truth be told I don’t really have an Australian accent, I am a man of few words, and when I do talk I like to keep people on their toes. But I admit some days the accents come quite natural. I sometimes slip into a French accent. But I feel obliged to share some things with you. One, the reason I like to keep people on their toes is because I don’t want them getting to close. I guess you can say I’m a little anti-sociable. Two, I’m not exactly a normal person when I’m not putting on airs.

I started carrying on full sentence conversations by the age of 1, but with myself, so it would seem. I was talking like a well educated bloke by the age of 5 and I graduated college by the age of 17. And that brings us to now, I’m 21 years old. I’m a weird looking fellow to boot as well. I have a sprinkling of freckles across my nose, high cheek bones, dark, beautiful jade colored eyes, they’re slightly slanted, courtesy of me mum. Dark brown hair with dark reddish orange through out, highlights, all natural of course. I work out slightly, or stay fit. I run, swim, and climb trees. So I’m pretty toned all the way around, and I could easily pass for a 16 year old any day of the week. Cricky! I’m gorgeous.

But any who. This where it gets interesting, for you. I have a hearing impairment, which is the main reason I talked to myself as a young bloke and the reason I excelled at school. Now most impairments hold you back, this one is slightly different. It’s not that I don’t hear well, it’s that I hear too well. I hear dead people, or people that never lived, angels and such, I guess. No really, I’m serious. I love that movie, Sixith Sense; thank God I don’t see them as well. Actually, while I’m hearing them I can’t see a friggin’ thing. I go temporarily blind, my eyes get a cloudy film over them and everything. But ever since I was a young lad one such voice, spirit, or person been with me, his name is Jahnu, he’s been there to guide me and has never led me wrong. But he has always told me that I need to find the people with the same name as me. And I have always rolled my eyes, sighed and didn’t take him serious in response. Well that all changed after meeting Vi’Syon.

I first saw her at orientation at school, she had this dazed out look on her face, and I was thinking, “Oh great, another stoner, but she’s so cute”. Well some chic was talking ten miles an hour to her and she didn’t bat an eyelash. When orientation was over, the girl tried to get her up, Vi’Syon didn’t respond, so the girl started waving her hands in her face. Still no response, so naturally she walked out muttering, “Freak” under her breath, I sat there watching Vi'Syon, she sat there looking more comatose than stoned for about ten more minutes. When she came through it was so subtle you might not have noticed, but I did because I was watching so intently. She looked around the room, saw me and bolted out the door. I followed her. She sat down at one of the many benches that crowded the campus. I stood behind a tree, just watching her. She’s so friggin’ beautiful, short, but beautiful. She’s about 5’0, shoulder length wavy jet black hair, pale, icy blue eyes, I’ve never seen eyes like that before. But they’re big, with really long lashes; she has kind of high cheek bones, small nose, and small mouth but with semi-full lips, and chocolate colored skin tone. Small breast; she’s a thick lass, but that doesn’t mean fat, she just thick through the thighs, hips, calves, waist. She’s no light weight, she just got meat on her, not sloppy looking. Hey! I’m a guy; of course I notice these kinds of things. But any who, she looked up and our eyes connected, I stepped fully from behind the tree; I tipped my hat to her with a slight bow and left. Mind you, I don’t have a hat on, just one of my little quirks.

As soon as I was a good enough distance from her Jahnu knocks. I surrender to the blindness to get the new info he has for me. But instead I as him, “What’s her name?” He tells me in his usual accent less voice, “Vi’Syon NaRae Sage”. I start to laugh, “Riiight, what parents would name their child that?” I chuckle again to myself, then it hits me, “Oh. Well I be.”

From then on out she was like an obsession I couldn’t shake. I’d been following her around for about a week; she was in the library, and I couldn’t stand being away from her any longer. I walked up to her and sat down across from her. I was very close, maybe a foot away, and she never looked up, she was lost in her thoughts. I was there maybe 30 seconds when her head shot up. She started to speak, “Um, can I …” I cut her off by some urgency I couldn’t explain. “Hello Yin.” I said, I knew her name by this point, I was just struck with the absolute certainty that she was my Yin. She told me I must be mistaken. And what did I do mate? I just sat there and grinned like a friggin’ idiot and stuck my hands in my jeans. Like the cat got me friggin’ tongue. She jumps up grabbing her books, looks at me and walks off. I noticed she left her notebook on the table. I grab it and take off after her. When I reached her I hear her mumbling something about “jerk”. I tap her on the shoulder, she stopped kind of abruptly, turned and looked at me. And of course I’m friggin’ grinning like a fool again. She says, “What!” real short like, so I hand her notebook to her. She seemed kind of embarrassed and said thank you really low, kind of under her breath. I tipped my hat, gave a slight bow and said,” Your more than welcome Ms. Sage.” She asked how did I know her name. I simply walked past her.

Chapter 1 Yin

My mother must have had quite a sense of humor when she had me. My father tells me she waited until her last hour in the hospital to name me. Well I know there's nothing funny or weird about that in itself, but wait until you hear what she actually named me, my full name.

But regardless I guess it's for the best, my given name. For those who bother to get to know me, it serves as a fore warning, that I myself am not a basket full of normality's. And for those who stick around, well they know I live up to my name, always. Rather I want to or not.

My mom is African American, or black, whatever; and Sioux Indian, part of the Lakota Tribe. Well my mom's family, the Indian influence, said my name is a blessing. My superstitious black side said she cursed me and should never have mothered a child from a voodoo priest. Boy, family reunions are fun. And by the way my dad isn't voodoo anything, he is part Dominican and part Haitian, and it's a common misconception that Haitians practice voodoo. But anyways. My opinion of my name is that my mom knew exactly what my future held and named me appropriately. Mind you that doesn't mean I like it, but I do admit it's different. I don't see it as being a blessing or a curse, although at times it can feel like both.

Let me properly introduce myself, my name is Vi'Syon NaRae Sage. Pronounced Vision Na-ray. If you roughly translate it, it mean, "Old wise one who sees visions." Yes, I suppose even I sound cynical. But unfortunately it's all true. I often see visions in my dreams, and my Lakota family said I will soon be able to walk in dreams. I sometimes zone out and see visions, but regardless if it's in a dream or I'm wide awake I can't hear when I'm in one. Very interesting and complicated stuff. But here is my story.

Vi'Syon sat up straight, stretched and gave a casual look around the school library. "Gosh this is gonna be a hard story to write, why did Dr. Levy have to decide to issue a last minute "get to know thyself" essay. Uggh!!" She so hated school right now. Besides, Dr. Levy would take one look at the essay and trash it as being fiction. Why couldn't she have a normal life at times? She couldn't dare tell him her dad wanted her to look into become the first Mambos of the family. No one would understand that Voodoo is not an actual religion, that it is actually Vodoun and has a lot of similar beliefs as Christianity. Vi'Syon suddenly felt like she was being watched. She glanced up, and "Whoa! When did he get there?" she wondered. It was the same tall, slightly good looking, ok, very good looking guy, that she has caught looking, staring, maybe even ogling her for the past week. Only difference is that he was no longer behind a tree or across the room, he was like a foot away from her. "Umm, can I ..." Vi'Syon started when he cut her off." Hello Yin." Gosh but he sounded great. "Excuse me? You must have me mistaken with someone else." He just grinned at her and stuck his hands in the pockets of his very beat up, very faded jeans. Vi'Syon grabbed her books and got up from where she had been sitting, she looked at him one more time and turned and walked off. "He probably thought that was a good pick up line. Jerk." She felt a tap on her shoulder, she stopped abruptly and turned, there he was, rebel without a care, grinning at her. "Yes?" He handed her a notebook she had left on the table. "Thank you." She replied as she looked at her books stupidly. She turned to walk away and the guy said" You're more than welcome Ms. Sage."  Vi'Syon gawked at him, "How do you know my name?" He just tipped an imaginary hat to her, grinned and walked past her. "Ok." she thought. A bell started going off in the background. "Oh no! I'm gonna be late for Dr. Levy's class." She stuffed the books in her tote and took off running to class.

My Zion

You initiate my smile.
You put the twinkle in my eyes.
You're my sunrise and my moon set.
I don't know how much better does it get?
You put a spring in my step,
A flame in my heart.

Your intelligence takes me to a place
were all senselessness cease.
Things are laid out, broken down.
I'm at a place were there is peace.
You are my twin flame,
Hope the feelings are the same.
You are My Zion, a temple I treasure.

Unfounded Territory

Long warm masculine fingers trail down my back, reaching, finding my soul. Those same hands turn me around, to see what his fingers have touched. He lowers his head and with a simple kiss takes my heart into his hands. I reach up to cradle him to my breast, as to not let him slip away. Forever in my arms. With a slight hesitation I've laid myself bare, allowing ure eyes to (glance) over my body and heart. It's a slow and languid take over, a battle I lost willingly. Gradually, you take ur time. Ure Louis and Clarke and my body, mind, heart and soul is your frontier, yours to explore. As you look down on me, i can feel u in me, growing, spreading, stroking and igniting the once cooled and forgotten ashes of my being. We don't know where this is heading, but if u handle this fragile cargo with care I'll gladly go where u lead. Standing back to back and at your side. (In a world so filled with hate we can show that love still prevails.)

Sway

My phone vibrated on the bathroom counter. I picked up the phone. It was Benjamin texting me. Even in my bad mood I couldn't but smile, he was so darn charismatic. Sat the phone down after texting him back and telling him I was getting in the shower for work. As I lathered up my mind wander, daydreaming, my favorite past time. I pictured me and Benny on the beach, it was a full moon. We were walking along the boardwalk holding hands. He pulls me off the boardwalk and onto the actual beach. We walk a lil ways and and he stops, pulls me to him, he lowers his head as to kiss. Before his lips can touch mine my mind goes blank. As usual I am unable to picture me and him together. My mind won't let me move pass the fact that he has a girl friend, no correction, you might as well say fiancée. I should know since he got my opinion on the ring. Him and Grace. It hurts when you have a connection, bond or even mutual feelings for someone and not be able to act on them. Benny and I both said we won't impose or violate his current relationship. I can't do it, I wouldn't want it done to me. I rinse off and rush throughout the rest, primping and dressing. I was running late for work. I pulled into my job, (insert job), where I work as a (insert a job title). I backed into my spot and got out my 2001 Hyundai. I'm walking towards the door that opens into my office when I feel someone looking at me. I glance up and see Benny standing by the elevators near the side entrance to the building. I approach him, "Hey sunshine!" "Ashley." is all he says in reply. "What's wrong?" I ask. He looks me dead in the eyes and tells me he and Grace broke up. I grabbed the railing. I felt like the floor had fell from beneath me. Poor Benjamin. I move towards him to give him a hug. He side steps me. "I'm ok." he says,"Just wanted to tell someone." and he turns and walks in the building. I stand there a moment longer then head to my office. Wow.

I sat at my desk contemplating how I felt about the news. I was shocked and sad for Benjamin. But a small part of me was elated. He can finally be mine. I pulled my phone out of my hip holster and messaged Benny  "Are you sure you're ok"? Couple of minuets later Benny texted back, "Surprisingly enough I'm ok. Wants to know why?" "Why?" I replied back. "Cause I knew you'd be here for me." I was so shocked I couldn't even message back. I sat there with my mouth open. So I closed my mouth and got bold. I asked, "So does this mean I finally get my man?" I waited for what it seemed a life time for a response back. When he did message me back I held my breath until I opened the message. Readying myself I look down at the message and let out a triumphant lil yelp! All I read was yes! There was more but I couldn't get over the yes. I got up and did a lil dance. I can't believe after all this time and patience I was gonna get what I wanted. I sat back down and went back to reading my message. My smile dropped and all my joy just fled. The rest of the message was saying that I had him at least for right now because him and Grace was just taking a break. A couple of tears trailed down my face. Oh I knew what this meant, that as soon as I got attached and head or feet into him, he and Grace would get back together. Did I want to put myself through this? And who was I kidding? I was already head over feet. I've felt like I've known him a long time and that we were crafted for each other. I already knew my decision. I messaged him back and said, "Let's do this." and in typical Benny fashion he messaged me back, "Wha? What are we doing?" I chuckled and sat my phone to the side. Time to get to work.  And I needed to come up with a course of action to make him love me in the shortest amount of time as possible. Grace already has his heart, I merely have his attention.

Unexplainable

My body hungers for yours
Your look, your touch, your smile.

Your caress runs over my body like whispered promises.

I can feel you in me, touching my soul, kissing my heart.

Your entrance should have been slow and languid,
But instead your entrance was fast, deep, and unexpected.
You filed me up so completely it hurt.

Although my happiness may not be plain to see,

Are you happy? I haven't got a clue.

I wish I could look into your mind and try to find when would be the right time to climb inside,

and unwind, spreading through you.
Like the fire you created in me.

Day Dreaming Snippet of a story

Rane
I stood across the way, staring at this male eye candy. He was what I call a light bright. a light skinned brother. I'm leaning against the opposite wall trying to get u the nerve to say what's on my mind. Light bright is just standing there messaging on his BB, oblivious to the turmoil in my head. He licks his lips and I feel myself get moist. I've never been affected by a man physically the way he was affecting me at this very moment. I close my eyes and picture him walking over to me, his impressive 6ft height towering over my petite 5ft frame. I look up at him and exhale shakily. He lowers his head and takes my breath into him as he kisses me. I fist my hands in the front of his shirt as the heat builds between us. He pushes me against the wall , pressing his leg between the apex of my thighs. A  moan leaves my lips. He presses himself more firmly against me. Somewhere in the excitement my hands slipped under his shirt, I run my fingertips over his nipples, his breath catches. My hands roam his back, marking my territory as I go. He pulls away, I protest. He leads me by the hand to a low table. He motions for me to sit down, I do. He kneels in front of me, unbuttons my dress from collar to hem, laying me bare. He kisses my lips softly and starts a slow exploration of my body. Leaving one set of lips and ending at another. Excuse me, excuse me. I startle and open my eyes and Mr. Light Bright himself is standing in front of me. For real. I blink away my sweet day dream, and struggle to get my bearings. I stutter, "Ye, yees?" He ask, "Um, are you ok?" I look him in the eyes and can't respond. He looks as to leave. I blurt out, "I'm good. Thanks." He smiles and my breath quickens. What is wrong with me? He moves to walk away again, I grab his sleeve and ask him his name. He pauses and looks at me silently. I tell him never mind. I turn to walk away, I am about 4 steps away, when I hear, "Emery."

At the sound of his voice, I paused mid step  I turned and glanced at him. He was still standing there. I approached him and said, "Emery is a nice name. I'm Rane." "You mean like the the rain, precipitation " I laughed and told him no, my name means Queen, and it's spelled R A N E.He smiled at me and and said my bad. I adverted my gaze. I just felt so wrong or guilty for my lil day dream. I almost felt like he knew what had went down in my head and found it amusing. I groaned aloud without realizing it. "What's wrong?" Emery asked. My head jerked up and immediately my eyes were glued to his sensuous lips. I mumbled nothing, what do you mean? He threw me a smirk. "Don't worry about it. Its all good." he assured me. We stood there in silence. He looking at me with the smirk still on his face, and me, now looking at the floor. Suddenly he asked, " How about, you be my Queen?" I met his gaze head on to try and gauge if he was serious or just messing with my head. He seemed dead ass. I got brave and replied, "How about I take you out t dinner first, and go from there?" "Don't you mean, let me take you to dinner?" I informed him that I said exactly what I meant. And if he was too much of a sexist, then I suppose he was qualified to be my court jester. His mouth dropped like he couldn't believe I had just tried him. I got bolder still. I jotted down my number and handed it to him. "Lets see if you are a King, or a jester." I turned on my heels and walked out.

Emery Emery looked on as Rane walked away from him. Wow. Did she just call him a Jester? That's the same as calling him a clown. Like he some joke to be taken lightly. Hell naw! This booshie ass hoe! Emery shook his head as he thought about it. Emery walked towards the back of the library, still musing to himself. His P.O. got jokes. Making him serve community service in a library of all places. He started methodically placing books on the shelf. Emery grimaced while his thought again turned to Miss Thang, Rane. What on earth even possessed him to approach her? She had such a stank ass attitude. But damn, lil mama was fine, in a nerdy kinda way. She looked like she was all but having a fucking orgasm over in that corner. Emery laughed out loud to himself. Yeah, that was his problem, he was thinking with the wrong head when he approached her. He hadn't had a piece in over 5 years. Bullshit charge. He got mad all over again, same thing happens every time he thinks about all the time he lost and his record. He got 5 years for resisting arrest. 5 fucking years gone. For a bullshit charge. His ol girl got pissed because she caught him cheating. She was a vindictive bitch. She came in there wilding out, gave the poor girl a whooping. After she calmed down she came at me saying she was sorry for the way she had been acting lately and she understood why I cheated and she wasn't mad. I should have known something was up. She started coming on to him and shit. touching all on herself and talking bout she wanna make it up to him. So they start getting it in, and shorty was getting real freaky and shit saying she wanted it rough cause she deserved to be punished. She was telling me to hit her harder and be rougher, she was really getting off. Her ass put me to sleep. Next thing I know I was being thrown on the floor by the cops, butt ass naked and all. Of course I tried to shake them off. I didn't know why they were all up in my crib assaulting a nigga and shit. I asked them repeatedly what the problem was. They didn't have shit to say, but they read me my rights. As I was being forced out my own crib I see her in the corner, crying, looking real beat down. I'll never forget the way she looked. Hair was all screwed up, she had the sheet from the bed barely covering her, blood was on the sheet, and running down her legs. She had bruises all over her. The bitch smiled at me and mouth gotcha as I was escorted out. I lost it, I tried shaking them pigs off m again just so I can give her ass a real ass whooping. I tried explaining how conniving she is and it was all a set up. The cops just laughed and hit on me, while I was handcuffed. Real men they were. I kept telling them she asked me to do it.Them pigs wasn't trying to hear me. They charged me with sexual battery in the 2nd offense.10 years in the Pen minimum. I ain't got no money for no lawyer. The kept delaying  my court date, saying they didn't have a public defender available and shit. By time I went to court I had  spent over 30 days in jail. Fought off countless niggas who heard I raped and beat a woman. When she was called to testify she refused to take the stand, admitting she lied. So they hit me with resisting arrest. And they had the nerve to give the full sentence of 5 years. I did everyone one of those years. The judge gave her just a slap on the wrist. She served a couple days for lying. But the judge said he felt she was frightened for life, and that's the reason she wouldn't take the stand. Bitch.

Emery finished up the book cart he was restocking and was rolling the cart to the back when a female stepped in front of him. He was still thinking about the raw deal he got so he stopped abruptly. He looked her, starting at her stiletto clad feet to her fresh do. Who the hell wheres stilettos to the library? She leaned her hip up against the bookshelf and placed her hand on the other hip. she was dressed in the latest fashion, clothes hugging her in all the right places. accentuating her curves. Mami was banging, but something seemed off about her. " Can I help you?" She looked like she was accustomed to men drool ing all over her and hanging on to her every word. Waited on hand and foot. Not this nigga, got me bent. She gave me the slow once over and said, "I certainly hope so." She smiled and trailed her fingers from her collar bone down between her breast, further down across her flat stomach, skimmed over her crotch and let her hand rest on her hip again. As hot as she was, my dick didn't even jump. "Look lady, I ain't got time for his shit today, what the fuck do you want?" She started to speak, I held up my hand to cut her off, "Speak only if it has to to do with something in this library." She replied, "You could do me in this library." I looked at her like she was deaf, dumb and  just plain stupid. I pushed right past her. What the fuck is wrong with women now days?

People are everything though--that's for sure! They can not be replaced. Material objects come and go and they won't miss you when you're gone either. Remember that!!

I would rather be hated for who I am, instead of loved for someone I am not...So please be yourself

Most times we say what we think is right, but cant do it or prove it when the time is right.....So please value your words and be true to yourself
Laugh when u can, apologize when u should, let go of what u cant change.
kiss slowly, play hard
forgive quickly, take chances
give everything and have no regrets
life is too short to be anything

BE HAPPY

YOU CANT QUIT UNTIL U TRY
YOU CANT LIVE UNTIL U DIE
YOU CANT LEARN TELL THE TRUTH UNTIL U LEARN TO LIE
JUST OPEN UR EYES
AN SEE THAT LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL

I've learned that with intelligence comes loneliness. Not necessarily 'being alone' - as there is a difference, but truly connecting with others proves difficult if your brain actually functions the way it should. Of course it probably doesn't help that most intelligent people are arrogant...who knows maybe Einstein was lonely because he was a jerk.

Sweet words are easy to say,
Sweet things are easy to buy,
But sweet people are difficult to find.
Life ends when you stop dreaming,
Hope ends when you stop believing,
Love ends when you stop caring,
Friendship ends when you stop sharing.
To love without condition...
To talk without intention...
To give without reason...
And to care without expectation, is the heart of a true friend...

Chivalry is not dead....Stay Positive

Invite Your Audience Carefully.......
Not everyone is healthy enough to have a front row seat in your life.
There are some people in your life who need to be loved from a DISTANCE.
It is amazing what you can accomplish when you let go of - or minimize
your time with - those draining, negative, incompatible, 'not-going-
anywhere' relationships or friendships.

Observe the relationships around you.
Pay close attention...
Which ones lift, and which ones lean?
Which ones encourage, and which ones discourage?
Which ones are on a path of growth uphill, and which ones are going downhill?
When you leave certain people, do you feel better or feel worse?
Which ones always have drama, or don't really understand, know or
appreciate you & the gifts that lie within you?

Remember that the people you have around you will have an impact on your
life, your values and your income. So, be careful when choosing the
people you hang out with, as well as the information with which you will
feed your mind. We should not share our dreams with negative people, nor
feed our minds with negative thoughts.

The more you seek quality, respect, growth, peace of mind, love and truth
around you... the easier it will become for you to decide who gets to sit
in the FRONT ROW, and who should be moved to the balcony of your life.

Ask God for wisdom and discernment, and choose wisely the people who
will sit in the front row of your life.

You cannot change the people around you....
but you CAN change the people you choose to be around!

I Try To...

I try to forget you.
I try to forgot me with you, to forget us.
But I can't.
It stalks me like my shadow, powered by the mid day sun.
I try to forget your gentleness,
I try to forget your affections.
But I can't.
The memory still holds me as you use to.
I try to forget your words, both written and said.
I try to forget your promises, broken and tossed aside.
But I can't.
I try to forget how I wasn't enough to make you stay
I try to forget how you let them tear us apart.
But I can't.
Because we're all still playing one big happy family.
I try to forget how you didn't come back for me.
I try to forget how you moved on.
But I can't.
I can't because I have to face you everyday. I have to face the loss of you, the loss of part of me, the loss of us.
I have to face the new, 'uninhibited' you. The new 'not afraid of the world' you. The new 'I really am a great catch' you.
I try to forget the useless arguments.
I try to forget the unsureness.
I try to forget the helplessness.
I try to forget the painfulness
It all causes me today.
You are my one regret.
And I can't forget you.

You single handedly, without even trying, incapacitated me. Like a dear in headlights. You knocked me out in the first 30 seconds of round one with a single sweet chin music. You have taken me out of the game, a game I wasn't even trying to play.
You have irrevocably stolen my heart. And unashamedly won't give it back. I can't shake you from my system. Like a Chihuahua on a mailman.
You have changed me for life.

Trying something new...

I have never had a blog or a public place to post my work, rather it be poetry, pictures or just random thoughts to chew on. A friend suggested I try a blog, so here I am. Part of me feels like this is as good an ideal as karaoke while intoxicated. And the other part feels, why the heck not? If people don't read it or read it and don't like it; what is the worst that can happen? My online self expressions will be just like in the real world. People just don't seem to get me. So, I will be trying this out anyways, throwing caution to the wind and posting pictures, poems, stories and other lil tidbits to gnaw on. If you like something you read, let me know. But keep in mind, I'm a horrible speller and not always grammatically correct.....THIS IS ME
